When your Clover Duo's printer stops working, you can't give customers receipts - which means potential chargebacks and unhappy customers. Let's get that printer back online.
Open the printer compartment and ensure paper is loaded correctly with the thermal side facing up. Check for jams or debris in the paper path.
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the print head. Built-up residue can cause faded prints or printing failures.
Turn off the entire Duo system. Wait 60 seconds. Turn on the base station first, let it fully boot, then test printing.
Go to Settings > Printing > Printer Setup. Ensure the correct printer is selected and enabled for receipts.

Blank receipts usually mean the thermal paper is loaded upside down (thermal coating facing wrong direction) or the print head needs cleaning.
While possible, using non-Clover paper can cause jams and print quality issues. If you use third-party paper, ensure it's the correct thermal paper specifications.
Grinding noises indicate a mechanical issue - possibly a jam, worn gears, or debris. Stop using it and inspect for obstructions. May need professional repair.
