When your kitchen printer goes offline, orders don't reach the kitchen, food gets delayed, and customers get frustrated. It's a critical failure point we need to fix fast.
Turn off the kitchen printer, wait 60 seconds, turn it back on. Allow 2 minutes for it to reconnect to the network.
Check if the printer's network light is on. For WiFi printers, ensure signal is strong. For ethernet, verify cable connection at printer and router/switch.
Most kitchen printers have a button combination to print network settings. Verify the IP address matches what's configured in Clover.
Go to Settings > Printers > Remove the offline printer > Add Printer. Sometimes a fresh setup resolves persistent offline issues.

Common causes include DHCP assigning new IP addresses, WiFi signal issues, printer sleep mode, or network congestion. Assign a static IP for stability.
Only ESC/POS compatible printers work with Clover. Clover-certified printers like Star and Epson models are recommended for best compatibility.
Access the printer's built-in settings (varies by model) or configure your router to assign a DHCP reservation for the printer's MAC address.
